My name is Hana Kosikova I’m  fully accredited Remedial massage therapist, recognized by Australian Association of Massage Therapist (AAMT)

Massage therapy is extremely beneficial to people leading busy lifestyles suffering from what is now commonly encountered work related stress. Massage will not only aid with mental relaxation but will work on physical symptoms of back and neck pain that comes from sitting for an extended period of time at a desk or from physical labour.

I use combination of techniques which I learned over the years to release tension and stress in your body to improve blood circulation and balance in your body.

My services provides variety of massage treatments in the comfort of your home/chosen venue or my clinic at Voyager Point.

I have been also  involved as a support at Crocodile Trophy 2012 (Mountain bike 10 days race held in North Queensland, Australia)  and other cycling events in Australia as a massage therapist and nutritional advisor.

RELAXATION MASSAGE / SWEDISH MASSAGE

It is a full-body massage therapy incorporating long strokes, gentle kneading, rocking and rolling of the skin to loosen and relieve tight muscles.

This form of massage is designed to soothe and relax the body and mind, releasing muscle tension, calming the nervous system, boosting circulation and skin health, supporting the immune and lymphatic system and promoting a general sense of well-being.

Relaxation massage can help to temporarily lower blood pressure; improve stress-related issues; improve circulation; improve skin tone and texture; and increase general well-being.

REMEDIAL MASSAGE / DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Effectively addressed tense, knotted, damaged muscles and skeletal dysfunctions through a range of massage strokes, touch techniques and soft tissue manipulation that can be personalised to suit individual client needs. The approach is holistic in that it targets the actual dysfunction or issue, which in turn addresses the symptoms. The special techniques can help repair damaged muscles, tendons and joints by supporting and increasing the body’s own repair mechanism.

The combination of gentle, strong, deep and shallow massage techniques stimulates blood flow, which flushes out toxins from the muscles. Remedial massage helps to relax the peripheral nervous system, which reduces pain and aids comfort. Stretching the muscles decreases stiffness, immobility and tension.

Remedial massage can be beneficial in addressing neck and back pain; muscular pain, cramps and tightness; sports injuries; frozen shoulder; tennis elbow; scoliosis; sciatica; arthritis; headaches; poor circulation and sleep issues.

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports Massage increases flexibility and range of movement. This results in a faster healing process and has the unique benefit of breaking down scar tissue, which can otherwise lead to reduced tissue mobility. The treatment assists injury through early detection of muscle dysfunction. It also promotes faster recovery after training and competition at both physical and psychological levels.

 

IMPORTANT

Massage is not a good idea if you have a fever, infections, inflammation, osteoporosis and other medical conditions. If you have any questions about whether a massage would be right for you, ask to speak to us before you make your appointment.
