People have enjoyed the red berries since ancient Rome. The garden strawberry, still grown today, was cultivated as early as 1766 by a gardener at the court of Louis XV. They began to be grown in the Czech Republic in the Neveklov region in the 19th century. Strawberries were formerly called the royal fruit or the fruit of love. They are valued mainly for their aroma, color, and juiciness. Strawberries can be eaten raw or cooked in jams and syrups. They are also often used for cakes or fruit dumplings and can be cooked as a compote.
Instructions: To prepare homemade drinks, dilute the syrup at 1:10, preferably with fine water; for a hot drink, dilute at 1:8.
Ingredients: sugar, strawberry puree (Fragaria vesca L., 12%), strawberry concentrate (Fragaria vesca L., 8%), acidity regulator: citric acid, carrot, and blackcurrant concentrates, preservative: potassium sorbate, vitamin C, natural flavoring.
Store in a calm and dark place. Fruit extracts may settle; any cloudiness or foaming is not a concern as it highlights the product's naturalness. Shake well before use. Refrigerate after opening and use within 30 days. It is packaged in a protective atmosphere.
